Being a small nursery gives it a strong family-like environment where it is easy for all children, parents and staff to get to know each other well and develop positive relationships.
Our Nursery in Glenfield was originally the Glenfield Women's Institute, before being repurposed as a nursery. We moved into the building in 1997, and over the years have redeveloped the outside play area which wraps around the back of the building.
Each of the main rooms has direct access to the outside play areas through French doors which makes it easy to promote a free-flow indoor/outdoor play ethos. This gives your child plenty of opportunities to get fresh air and exercise their body, to learn and develop in their own unique way.
Explore the different stages your child will go through at Lilliput Glenfield.
The babies and toddlers have their own area which is mainly covered with by all weather shade. They have many natural elements for both active and quiet play, including planting, digging and water play.
The 2 year olds have an area with a large wood cabin and space to construct and experiment. They have access via a gate to the area shared with the older children. In this area we have a climbing wall, a raised deck where your children can plant their own flowers and vegetables to learn how things grow, a tunnel to a secret sand pit, our Forest School area with Willow arches and our Frienship Bench, and the ever-popular mud kitchen.
We would love the opportunity to show you around the nursery to show you exactly what life at our nursery is really like.
