This nursery has a purpose-built extension to a small group of shops close to the centre of the village which opened in early 2000. Despite its outward appearance it has a cosy, homely atmosphere inside where your children will feel safe and comfortable while they develop and grow.
The baby room for the under two's is a large hexagonal shaped room which is divided at low level to separate the toddlers and walkers from the crawlers. This means that your children have plenty of space to develop and play in a safe manner with age appropriate toys and equipment.
As your child approaches 2 years of age they will move up to the toddler room to continue their learning and development. There is a sensory room next to this where your child can enjoy a variety of experiences with light projectors and fluorescent toys.
The 3 and 4 year olds in the preschool group have two rooms which operate on a free flow basis, plus access to the outdoor play area. This means that your child can have some element of choice of whether they want to be inside or out when they are playing and learning. These rooms are equipped with age-appropriate resources for learning and creative play, which help your child gain knowledge and develop their physical and social skills to prepare them for primary school.
The outdoor play area has a large deck with a playhouse and covered sandpit, and an area of safety surfacing for more physical play which is partly covered by a large gazebo to give some protection from the elements. There is also a quiet garden corner where your children can plant their own flowers and vegetables to learn how things grow.
"Thank you for looking after my wonderful boy, we will miss you all loads, but don't worry my daughter will be with you in 6 months. Take care all of you and keep up the good work. All our love and sloppy kisses."
"Can't believe he's leaving you all, he's been here such a long time. Feeling very emotional that he's not in the baby room any more and going to big boy school, wish he would stop growing up so he could stay, am sure he's going to miss everyone at Lilliput."
"Going to miss being part of the Lilliput family, they have been here from the start to the very end, my grandson left 2 years ago and now my other grandson and granddaughter going to join him now. Very sad and don't want to say goodbye. Going to miss you guys loads"
"This is to say thank you very much for looking after our son while he was with you in the Jungle room, I'm sure he will miss you guys and all his Friends there. THANK YOU"
"Just a little thank you for being My Daughters Mummies whilst I'm at work. You have been wonderful, and you have helped her become a happy little girl."
"Thank you very much for making my daughter and son's times at nursery such a fun learning place! They have learnt a lot and had loads of fun"
